Disclaimer before I start gushing about Emily and Zach: Emily is one of my dearest friends from college. After our freshman year we traveled to Greece together for our study abroad program and over the years this incredible woman has become like a sister to me. We all lead crazy busy lives and don’t get to see each other as often as we would like, but when we get together it’s like no time has passed at all!
Now, on to Emily and Zach. These two could not be more perfect for one another and it’s clear to everyone around them. As one of Emily’s friends,my heart melts when I see the way that Zach looks at her and all of the sweet things he did for her on their big day (and I also may have cried multiple times throughout the day, if we’re being honest.). You’ll see a photo of a journal that Zach put together for Emily that included handwritten notes for her to read at different parts of the morning. He also brought in a beautiful side table—a gift for their new home—that had a handwritten note inside one of the drawers. What a beautiful memento for the start of this part of their journey that they’ll be able to enjoy for many years to come!
Emily and Zach, I love you guys so much. Thank you for letting me be a part of your day in such a special way, and I hope you enjoy reliving the day through this post. 🙂
I have to take a quick second to explain that Emily’s little brother Andrew is currently in the Peace Corps working in Nepal and couldn’t attend the wedding, but he was there in spirit! His cardboard cutout was a huge hit! Thank you for all you’re doing to make the world a better place, Andrew!!
