Carolann and Ian are some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet! I went to college with Carolann and we both played in orchestra together, but I had never met Ian before their big day.
When I arrived at Ian’s getting-ready location, I was a little nervous since I was a tad late because of traffic and he’d never met me, so showing up late isn’t a great way to start off! I had driven about three hours from DC to Philadelphia and hit some horrible traffic just 20 minutes from where I needed to be. I’m certainly no stranger to traffic, but on a wedding day, it’s a vendor’s worst enemy! Despite my tardiness, Ian greeted me with a big smile, and all of his groomsmen were so fun and welcoming. I could tell right away that these guys had some very joyful spirits! My nervousness disappeared immediately.
Sometimes the wedding day is filled with tension and stress because of everything that needs to get done. But not on this wedding day! The guys were all so relaxed and then when I went to Carolann and Ian’s apartment—where Carolann was getting ready—the girls were also super relaxed. You could tell these two were just excited to be married, and all of their friends were excited for them!
From the beautiful choreographed first dance, to the heartfelt speeches from the maid of honor and best man, this wedding day was one of the sweetest days I’ve been a part of. Carolann and Ian, thank you so much for having me as your photographer on this important day. I hope you enjoy reliving some of my favorite moments from the day!
