There aren’t enough words to describe how great this past Saturday was! First, let’s talk about the weather. Sunny and 65 degrees in the middle of February—say what?! We had originally planned Lili and Luis’s engagement session for Valentine’s weekend. But if you’re like me, then you’re still chilled to the bone from how cold that weekend was! Brrrr! I’m so happy we rescheduled because God provided us with the most beautiful weather!
Now onto this sweet couple! I’ve known Luis’s family for what feels like my entire life! They are a wonderful and amazing, godly family with whom I have the pleasure to attend church. Sara, Luis’s sister-in-law, was actually the person that invited me to be part of Vivi! She is a wonderful mentor and encourages me every day to pursue my passions, including photography! (To check out the session I did with Sara’s family, click here!) Sara recommended me to Lili and Luis to be their wedding photographer, and when I met up with Lili to chat about the plans for their big day, I just became so excited for these two sweethearts and the incredible future ahead of them.
Sometimes a photographer will only have a few meetings with a couple before their big day, one of those times being the engagement session. But I have the very special opportunity to be in a marriage-building Sunday school class with Lili and Luis. Even though Stephen and I aren’t married, we want to build a foundation for a happy and healthy future, and I’m so excited to also be learning and growing alongside this amazing couple. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from our Brookside Gardens session! Congratulations you two!!
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13
