We flew into JFK after visiting Morocco this year, and I took a connecting flight to Boston to meet my mom and brother there for an extended vacation! We had been talking about visiting the city for a while, and decided to take a few days to make it happen.
We spent, Thursday through Saturday in the city and each chose a day to decide the itinerary! Since we all have varying tastes, we were able to get an amazing taste of all of the amazing sites that Boston has to offer! On Thursday, my mom decided we should visit the Boston Aquarium and go whale watching. Both of these activities were SO much fun, even though my brother did get sea sick while we were whale watching.
Warning: splash zone!
Beautiful, wind-blown hair!
Then, on Friday (my day of planning!) we went to the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum and attended a Red Sox game.
This center courtyard includes architecture and plants from all over the world!
The museum was the site of a major theft, but because of Isabella’s will, the museum cannot be changed! So there are empty frames where the paintings were stolen.
And on Saturday, Jon’s day, we visited the Public Gardens, hiked the Freedom Trail, and did an Escape the Room challenge in the evening. (You should definitely see if there is an Escape the Room venue in your city because it is SO much fun! It’s great for team building and really challenging your problem/puzzle solving skills!)
